COMPOSITION

Each ml contains

Atropine sulfate                      1 mg

Excipient q.s.f                         1 ml

 

INDICATIONS

  • As a smooth muscle relaxant, antiarrhythmic, preanaesthetic to reduce secretions
  • As an antidote for various toxic and anticholinesterase agents (Acetylcholine, Pilocarpine, Carbocholin, Nyvalin, Physostigmine … pesticides from phosphorus origin); and as antisecretory, mydriatic and cycloplegic.
  • Decrease of secretion of exocrine glands; stimulation of breath rate and pulse.
  • Intoxication of morphine, narcotics.
  • Reduction of spasm of smooth muscles of GI, urogenital, bile tract.

 

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE

S.C. injection

Cattle: 30 – 100 mcg/ kg b.w (3-6 ml/100 kg b.w)

Horses: 40 – 100 mcg/ kg b.w (4-6 ml/100 kg b.w)

Goats, sheep: 75 – 150 mcg/ kg b.w (2-4 ml/25 kg b.w)

Dogs: 30 – 350 mcg/ kg b.w (0.15-0.6 ml/10 kg b.w)

Cats: 30 – 1000 mcg/ kg b.w (0.15-1 ml/10 kg b.w)

 

Intravenous injection, only in cases of intoxication of pesticides.

 

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD: Nil

 

SHELF-LIFE: 2 years
